Dr Ryu Aerim is an associate professor of History of Japanese Political Thought. Following on from the history of the reception of Tocqueville’s political thought during the Meiji period, she is currently conducting research on the reception and transformation of Thomas Carlyle’s political thought. She currently offers Japanese Politics course in the CSPA Programme.
